BERRINGTON, a parish in Atcham district, Salop; on the river Severn, and the Severn V. railway, with a r. station, 4½ miles SE of Shrewsbury. It has a post office under Shrewsbury. Acres, 3,520. Real property, £8,970. Pop., 772. Houses, 113. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lichfield. Value, £393. Patron, Lord Berwick. The Atcham workhouse is here.
