MOLESWORTH, a parish, with a village, in the district of Thrapston and county of Huntingdon; adjacent to Northamptonshire, 5½ miles ESE of Thrapston r. station. Post town, Thrapston.
Acres, 1,710. Real property, £1,755. Pop., 256. Houses, 57. The property is much subdivided. The manor belongs to J. Welstead, Esq. A tract in the N is called Molesworth Wold.
The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely. Value, £280. Patron, the Bishop of Chester. The church is early English; and consists of nave and chancel, with a tower. Charities, £27.

MOLESWORTH (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Thrapston, hundred ot Leightonstone, county of Huntingdon, 11 miles (W. N. W.) from Huntingdon; containing 221 inhabitants, and comprising by computation 1300 acres.
The living is a rectory, valued in the king’s books at £11. 10.; net income, £228; patron, the Archbishop of York. The tithes were exchanged for land under an act of inclosure in 1800, with the exception of a small portion since commuted for a rent-charge of £33. 14.; the glebe altogether comprises 296 acres, with a house. The church is a neat ancient structure.
Edward Pickering, Esq., in 1697 bequeathed £200, now vested in land let for £27, which sum is distributed among the poor.
