TILBROOK, a parish in the district of St. Neots and county of Bedford; 1½ mile NW of Kimbolton r. station. Post town, Kimbolton, under St. Neots. Acres, 1,680. Real property, £1,945. Pop., 329. Houses, 78. The manor belongs to Lord St. John. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ely. Value, £388. Patron, Lord St. John. The church is good. There are Moravian and Wesleyan chapels, and a national school.

A Topographical Dictionary of England 1848

TILBROOK (All Saints), a parish, in the union of St. Neot’s, hundred of Stodden, county of Bedford, l½ mile (N. W. by W.) from Kimbolton; containing 319 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, valued in the king’s books at £13. 10.; net income, £388, with a house; patron, Lord St. John. The tithes were commuted for land and corn-rents, under an inclosure act, in the 39th and 40th of George III.
