Welcome to Parishmouse.

This site contains transcriptions of parish registers, historical books, directories and gazetteers that I own. All the transcriptions have been made from the original books.

All the transcriptions for the various counties and parishes can be found by clicking Towns & Parishes and then choosing the county you want. All the transcriptions are stored alphabetically by county and then by the name of the town, parish or hamlet. That is all probably as clear as mud

All the transcriptions have now been added back to the site and the photos will be added on an ongoing basis.

A new message board system has been setup at Yahoo Groups to replace the ParishChat message boards. Please come and join the group and help get it up and running. Members can post messages and photos and all the messages can be received automatically by email and an RSS feed is available so it is easy to keep up with the news. If members of the new group want their old messages and/or photos moved from the old boards just leave me a message. Hope you like the new group.
